And the Volcano Erupted

I am writing this post the night before it will actually post. My arm is resting on an ice pack, my head is pounding, and my legs are covered in bruises. It has been a bad night. My middle daughter has been picking up a few tricks from her brother's meltdowns. For one brief second, he finally understood why I ask him to calm down before he triggers her. Unfortunately, the lesson was lost ten minutes after the epic meltdown.

During the dark summer, a police officer came to my house, after my youngest had been raging for about six hours, and decided to lecture me about keeping a clean house. It seems I am so busy dealing with meltdowns and having stuff flying around my house I am never able to catch up on cleaning. I am a bit surprised the cops have been called this week. J and S have both been especially vocal. Thanks to the hospital escort and the last deputy visit L is paranoid of cops, one showing up at our house is an instant panic attack.

In the spirit of calming myself down after an epic meltdown here is a collection of pictures I found on the web.

I could not find one that says "Hello my name is Punching Bag" so I included the following picture as well.

This is so true. When S has a meltdown it is not about control, it is about loss of control. I could offer her a brand new My Little Pony and she would still not be able to calm herself down.

I especially like this one tonight.

This one just looked cool.

A great picture to raise awareness.

I am a bit of a neuropsych geek, so brain pictures are awesome, even ones that are not well shaped.

For my final picture here is how I wish I could have spent my evening.
